I've been searching for a nice dresser without having to pay a fortune for it and I finally found one that both me and my hubby like so we picked it up last night for only $80 bucks!!! Now its time to get busy and get it sanded and repainted, or shoudl I say my hubby get it sanded and repainted. I can't tell you how excited I am to finally have a dresser...lets just say it has been at least 15 years and the whole baskets in the closet, yeah that doesn't work so much for me. I can't wait to post pictures of the process but here is a sneak peek with out the drawers being in it LOL
Happy Friday!!!!

Shades of Turquoise
I'm fascinated lately by the color turquoise, for what ever reason when I see it it makes me feel happy. It is such a beautiful color with so many different shades of it. I'm trying to figure out what I can do in my house that I can bring in this gorgeous color.

Freshman Registration
Yesterday was a big day...our daughter is all registered and ready for high school. Pictures, ASB card, yearbook and her partial schedule (she was not happy with one of the classes so she requested a change). It was weird walking into the school thinking that in just two weeks my little girl was going to be a high schooler starting a new adventure. I couldn't believe it, serisously I got teary eyed (I know whats new huh) watching her in action with her friends thinking how fast she has grown up. What happened to my little girl with pig tails? Now I see this beautiful young woman in front of me that is as tall as me planning fun things with her friends...already talking about all the games they are going to go to and people they get to see. Time goes by so fast so I suggest you cherish every moment of it!!!!
Here is a pic that missy took yesterday in the car :)

May you always walk in sunshine, my friend!!

Taking Time to Enjoy a Date Night

photo via google
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer day.
We've been having some amazing weather here in the Pacific NW the last several days and with weather like this it puts me in the mood for a picnic or a nice walk along the beach with my hubby. So call it coincidence when I stumbled across an article today that is so true "Stay in Love, Keep Dating" at HowDoesShe. I am a true romantic and enjoy every moment that I can get holding hands while on a casual walk, snuggling at a movie or just enjoying a nice quite evening with my husband...but like the rest of us it doesn't seem to happen enough. With the normal everyday hustle & bustle of life that comes our way we usually are tired or to busy, or like she said can't afford it we end up skipping it...I like how she puts it, “Life brings some stress that can tend to interfere with marriages, and getting away just the two of you is a great way to communicate and just enjoy one another. Date nights are one small step towards a huge investment!”
So with that said hears to more date nights big or small, just take the time to enjoy each others company!
Happy Wednesday :)
