GREAT STRIDES - Cystic Fibrosis Walk Team Billy Buck's Battalion!!!!
Hi -
GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fundraising event. This year, I'm walking in the GREAT STRIDES walk at the 2011 Vancouver - Esther Short Park walk on 05/14/2011, we will be walking in honor of Melissa's 20 yr old nephew Billy who has CF. Please help me meet my fundraising goal of $150.00 and our team's goal of $1000.00. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care and education.
Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click here http://www.cff.org/Great_Strides/MarianneBurgess and "Click to Donate" button on this page to go to make a donation that will be credited to my team. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with CF! Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and GREAT STRIDES!
Thanks to everyone for your support!

And the Winner is ......
Wow I cannot believe that we are looking at high school in 7 months!!! Man time has flown by. When I was going into high school many, many years ago haha I don't remember going to different high schools checking out their programs and curriculum to see which one would be better for me. I mean we didn't have the choice we just went to the school that was in our boundaries.
Now the kids get to choose which school would be better for them and then go for it.
I am so proud of Awbrey! After attending 2 different high school open houses she has made up her mind. She is going to Skyview :)

She is very excited for their SMT program...
The SMT Magnet at Skyview High School is part of a comprehensive public, four-year high school which engages and empowers students to become 21st century creative problem solvers through interdisciplinary research and application in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Besides their SMT program she is thrilled they have an awesome cheer squad and she is looking forward to being part of a team again! She met with the coach and several of the girls who are cheerleaders now and you should have seen her face...she was smiling from ear to ear! Besides cheer she is interested in swimming, journalism and graphic design. I think she is going to be one busy girl. Hang on here we go!
