A Beautiful Rainey Day

I just love the fall...here in the Pacific NW I truly feel we get to enjoy it for several months. Where I used to live in the So. Cal Desert the fall days there were not what I longed for. I love, love, love the colors and the rain. I enjoy wearing sweaters, scarves and hats. I feel like even if I don't have my camera with me I am always taking pictures because of all the color. The colors are AMAZING!! I love the contrast in the picture below, it's funny that this is sort of my bedroom coloring...the green is a little more muted.

November Already!!!!

Wow it is already the first day of November...I can't believe we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am so excited for this time of the year, it has to be my favorite. I love getting together with family and friends and just enjoying being with each other. I love the colors that are all around, the different greens, yellows, oranges & red...oh how I love the reds!!!! It seems our month has already kicked off to a busy start. I hope you all have a great week and enjoy the little things that make you smile.

Happy Halloween!!

We started off at our friends house and met up with a bunch of families for pizza while we waited for the Trick or Treating to start. It was so fun to see what all the kids were, they all did such a GREAT job with their costumes!!! Then we headed out...it was crazy...people everywhere and great times were had. It was so cool to see entire families dressing up...we ran into the cast from  "Hook" there was Peter Pan, Tinker Bell Wendy and Captain Hook...it was so cute.

What a fun night :)

Shaw-Atchley Pumpkin Patch 2010

A couple of weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch with our friends. We had such a blast and enjoyed the wonderful day. Here are a few of the pictures I took of them while we were there.

Fall Is In The Air

I just love the fall and especially in the Pacific NW. The colors are amazing and the weather is just the way I like it. I am hoping to take some photos of Awbrey this weekend...depending on the weather - it's supposed to rain pretty good :)

Happy 20th Anniversary....I am so blessed

I am one of the luckiest girls around. I married my best friend 20 years ago!!! I remember that special day like it was yesterday. It was perfect!!!

We've had our ups and downs, we've had for better or worse, but we also have lots and lots of LOVE!!!! I wouldn't want it any other way. We truly appreciate each other and I am so thankful and blessed to have you for my husband. You are such a loving and compassionate man, a fantastic father and great friend. You are always putting me and Awbrey first. You push yourself when you are running on fumes. I find strength in you when I feel like I just don't want to deal with it. You give me support and always have my back.You and Awbrey keep me planted and you both have such an awesome since of humor you keep me laughing (even in the grocery store when I am trying to stay focused and on task ;) )

I am looking forward to the rest of our lives together. Thank you for all the wonderful memories to look back on and I am so excited to make new ones with you.

Finally a post hehe...Having Fun

Wow it has been a while since I've posted something. Life has been good and keeping us busy. Awbrey got home from California at the beginning of August. We celebrated her 13th birthday and enjoyed the remaining bit of summer.

Last week she started her guitar lessons and 8th grade. She is loving being back in school with all of her friends and enjoying her classes and teachers...YAY!!!!!

This past weekend we took a beautiful drive up the Washington side of the Gorge and had fun taking pics. Cody was excited because he got to go :) we ended up at the waterfront at sunset...great time to take pics and here in the NW there are so many beautiful places to take pics.

Having a Blast

Awbrey has been in California now for a week...not that I'm counting, LOL! She is having a blast hanging with Mimi & Papa. Even though I whine I am so grateful that she gets this opportunity to spend time with her grandparents one on one and get to explore different things. They are planning a trip to Palmdale so she can visit her BFF Mikayla! I know they are both so excited. I can't wait to see the pics.

MY little girl is now a remarkable young lady and when I talk with her or see the photos she is taking I just smile from ear to ear. God has truly blessed my life so much with her! It is an honor to be her mom and watch her grow. I know she is going to do great things in her life, she is driven and has a true heart!!!! When I sit back and look at her baby pictures I wonder where the time as gone but when I look at the young woman she is and becoming I can't wait to see what she's going to do next!

Bug I want you to know that I love you with all my heart!!!!

Taking Awbrey to Mimi & Papa's

We took our first trip back to CA since we moved. It was weird when we came off the mountain and everything was so brown and dry, I never really noticed it as much before.

Awbrey is spending the month of July with Mimi & Papa. It was a short trip...we drove up on Thursday, hung out with the girls (my mom, aunt, Awbrey & myself) on Friday and Saturday everyone got together for a BBQ. It was great getting to see everyone, sorry we missed you Chris I hope the boys are feeling better! Sunday we drove home. WOW it was a blur but we had a great time! I forgot how HOT it is there or I must be spoiled with the Pacific NW weather.

Friday us girls went out shopping! I love downtown Exeter...there are wonderful shops and places for coffee and such. My  aunt took us to a place called Monet's...I loved it! Stephen and my dad joined us while we sat around talking and relaxing in the cool a/c. Had a refreshing herbal & honey iced tea and us girls shared a slice of delicious chocolate pecan pie then Stephen orders an amazing rich chocolate cake...Yum Yum!

All the way around it was an amazing visit. I am very blessed to have such an amazing family. I thank God everyday for them and their love.
